And so Axl journeyed on with his new found friends, flicking his tongue like there was no tomorrow as they made their way through the perilous jungle, unaware of the sinister eyes that watched them in the shadows…

“So, Brutus, you were really in the UFF?” asked Axl.
Brutus proudly grinned and nodded his head. “Yup! For over ten years! I became a fighter in the business when I was seventeen and fell in love with the sport. There was nothin like getting out there and just letting my predatory instincts run wild! It was such a rush! I’ve always lived for the fight!”

“That’s awesome!” mused Axl. “I actually used to have dreams of becoming a fighter when I was a kid. I used to fight in matches as well and was pretty good. Of course the place where I fought was underground and probably illegal.”

“Sometimes underground is the most brutal,” said Brutus with a nod. Axl continued asking questions like a curious fanboy.

“So if you loved to fight so much, why did you give all that up? You look like you’re probably about my age? You’re far from being out of your prime.”

“I just wanted to do something different in my life!” Snapped Brutus enraged by Axl’s question.

“Simmer down, Brutus!” ordered Iggy.
Brutus looked at Axl appearing ashamed. “I’m sorry Axl. That’s kind of a touchy subject for me.”

“Uhh… Yeah. I can see that,” Axl replied still appearing quite puzzled from the sudden unexpected change in Brutus’s demeanor. Brutus let out a sigh as he prepared to share his life story.

“I was at the peak of my career as a fighter. After winning the Ultimate Fighting Federation championship from Boris the Bear, my undefeated reign lasted for almost two full years until this raccoon manager guy kept taunting me with insults from the audience. He’d shout out things like ‘I was a ‘boneheaded wuss’ at almost every one of my matches. Then one day after again retaining my championship by knocking out Vicious Sid, the kangaroo, I heard him shout that he had a sloth fighter who could take me down without even breaking a sweat. Well, I guess it was here that I reached my boiling point because I stormed over the ropes to where this punk was sitting and got right in his face with my manager and we exchanged dirty insults. He said that he would bet one million dollars that his sloth fighter could take me down and end my title reign. I’ll admit my temper and ego got the best of me and I accepted, to the protest of my manager. But I mean, come on! The guy was a sloth!

What was he going to do? Put me to sleep by boring me in the ring? Well, then the big night came. A lot of people, including the CEO of the company, also bet their money on what they thought would be a for sure victory for me. I remember almost feeling guilty for accepting the fight as Roth the Sloth made his slow entrance into the ring. I actually approached him before the match and said that we still didn’t have to go through with this and we should call off the match. I can still hear that arrogant laugh of that raccoon manager as he claimed that I was scared. But it was when Roth slapped me in the face and spat on me that I realized there was no turning away from this. So the bell rang and I went after him, hoping that I could inflict as little damage as possible to end the match. For the first minute, I owned the guy in the ring as I hammered Roth with my jabs. Roth’s punches at first felt only like tiny pinches. Then I see the raccoon manager get out some kind of flute and begin playing a weird tune on it. Before I knew what happened, I was being hammered by these intense blows from Roth and with a killer uppercut, he knocked me out cold. When I regained consciousness, I see Roth and Rocky celebrating while my manager and the UFF CEO told me that I was finished and ordered me to get out! A lot of people lost their fortunes that night and I went from being King of the Ring to a disgrace."
